WHO WE ARE ...
We are Les and Connie Mechem, owners of LCM Farm. We are located along the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains just 30 miles from the historic town of Estes Park, CO.

We purchased our first recipient Angus cow with a heifer embryo calf in 1999. This calf has been the foundation of the herd. We have traveled to Australia and have purchased new lineage to develop a better and stronger outcross to go with the American blood lines.

Les has worked and showed a variety of cattle breeds for many years in the Mid West. He enjoys working with the Lowlines for their docile temperament and birthing ease. Working with chosen genetics has resulted in a high ranking for tenderness and marbling of the meat.

We have enjoyed this business as it is a way our family can work and have fun together. Our granddaughter, Bailey Skinner, is primarily doing the showing of our animals and has been top showman in several national shows.

Connie has served as the Mountain States Lowline Association secretary for the past year and a half.
